Abstract:
A PROCESS FOR FAST DYEING A SHAPED ARTICLE OF A COPOLYMERIZATE OF (A) STYRENE-ACRYLONITRILE, METHACRYLIC ACID LOWER ALKYL ESTER OR ACRYLONITRILE AND (B) ABOUT 0.1 TO ABOUT 5.0 MOL PERCENT OF A VINYL COMPOUND OF THE FORMULA
R4-C(-R3)=C(-R2)-CO-N(-R1)-PH-A-X
WHEREIN R1 AND R2 EACH IS HYDROGEN OR AN ALKYL OF 1 TO 4 CARBON ATOMS, R3 AND R4 EACH IS HYDROGEN OR A GROUP -COOCH2,-COOC2H5,-COOC3H7 OR-COOC4H5, OR R1 AND R4 FORM A RING WITH A-CO-BRIDGE, PH IS PHENYLENE, ALKOXY-PHENYLENE OR CHLOROPHENYLENE, A IS A GROUP -SO2C2H4- AT THE M OR P POSITION TO THE AMIDO GROUP, AND X IS A GROUP OF -OSO2ME OR -OCOCH3 IN WHICH ME IS AMMONIUM, SODIUM OR POTASSIUM, WHICH COMPRISES TREATING SAID SHAPED ARTICLE WITH AN AQUEOUS SOLUTION OR DISPERSION OF A MONOAZO DYESTUFF HAVING REACTIVE HYDROGEN ATOM AT A TEMPERATURE OF ABOUT 90*C. TO ABOUT 120*C. AT A PH OF ABOUT 5 TO ABOUT 10.
Abstract:
A PROCESS FOR PREPARING TELOMERS OF STYRENE AND MALEIC ACID ANHYDRIDE OF A MOLECULAR WEIGHT OF LESS THAN 2500 ID DISCLOSED. POLYMERIZATION IS EFFECTED AT A TEMPERATURE OF 160*C. TO 270*C. IN THE PRESENCE OF A R ADICAL-FORMING CATALYST AND A CHAIN-TERMINATING SOLVENT WHICH MAY BE BENZENE OR A BENZENE SUBSTITUTED ONLY BY ONE OR MORE METHYL GROUPS. THE POLYMERIZATION IS PREFERABLY CARRIED OUT AT AN ELEVATED PRESSURE.
Abstract:
Concrete moldings with improved acid resistance Unreinforced or reinforced concrete moldings, for example concrete pipes, with improved corrosion resistance to acids and acidic sewage, improved permeation resistance to inorganic and organic liquids and gases and improved mechanical stability, produced by molding with machines, for example in press molding machines or extrusion machines or concrete pipe pressing machines, and allowing to harden plastic-viscous concrete mixtures of hydraulic inorganic binders, preferably cement, aggregates and water, where, in the preparation of the plastic-viscous concrete mixtures, to the latter has been added in a positive mixer an effective amount of an aqueous plastics dispersion based on anionic and hydrolysis-resistant copolymers of ethylenically unsaturated monomers, the minimum film forming temperature (MFT) of which is above the setting temperature of the concrete mixture, preferably above 23.degree.C. Use of the concrete moldings as concrete precast parts for many various applications, preferably as construction elements in building construction, road building, bridge building, civil engineering, in particular in sewage pipeline construction for underground sewer lines and service water lines.
Abstract:
An aqueous plastics dispersion is manufactured by copolymerization of several olefinically unsaturated monomers, one of them at least being free from amide and sulfo groups, one of them at least having an amide group and one of them at least having a sulfo group. Copolymerization is carried out in an aqueous medium under usual conditions. The resulting copolymer has a second order transition temperature of 20 DEG C. at most. The plastics dispersion is compatible with cement and serves as additive in cement-containing building materials.
