    Abstract: In the present invention there are disclosed defrosters and antiicing agents for airplanes based on glycol and water, consisting of (a) 60 to 97 percent by weight at least one glycol being selected from a group comprising alkylene glycols containing 2 to 3 carbon atoms and oxalkylene glycols containing 4 to 6 carbon atoms, (b) 0.01 to 1 percent by weight at least one non-ionic tenside being selected from a group comprising aliphatic alcohols having 6 to 24 carbon atoms and these aliphatic alcohols alkoxylated with low-molecular alkoxides with 1 to 10 alkoxide units, (c) 0.01 to 0,8 percent by weight at least one corrosion inhibitor and (d) water being balance to 100 percent by weight, whereby the weight percentages are based on the agent total weight. The efficiency of the agents ("hold over time") increases by addition of anionic tenside (b') being selected from a group comprising alkali metal alkylaryl sulfonates with one or more sulfonate groups, one or more alkyl groups containing 5 to 18 carbon atoms and one or more benzene rings in the amount of 0.01 to 1 percent by weight to the aforementioned non-ionic tenside, whereby their weight ratio should be 1:(0,5 to 1).
