Abstract:
A composition comprising from about 80 weight percent to about 99.9 weight percent of at least one C 1 - C 5 hydrofluorocarbon and from about 0.1 weight percent to about 20 weight percent of at least one C 3 - C 7 alcohol, and the use of these composition for in methods of the recharging of refrigeration systems.
Abstract:
Provided are methods of introducing environmentally desirable refrigerants into refrigeration systems. The present methods involve recharging a refrigerant system that contains a chlorine-containing refrigerant and a lubricant comprising the steps of (a) removing the chlorine-containing refrigerant from the refrigeration system while retaining a substantial portion of the lubricant in said system; and (b) introducing to said system a composition comprising: (i) a refrigerant; (ii) a surfactant; and (iii) a solubilizing agent.
Abstract:
Provided are compositions and methods of deacidifying a cellulose-based material. The compositions include a hydrohalo-olefin and a deacidification agent dispersed within the hydrohalo-olefin. Cellulose-based materials are contacted with the composition for a sufficient time to increase the pH of the material.
Abstract:
Un método de extracción con disolventes que comprende extraer con disolventes un sabor o fragancia poniendo en contacto dicho sabor o fragancia con HFCO-1233 (trifluoro, monocloropropeno).
Abstract:
4266756-1 The use of pentafluoropropene (HFO-1225) and tetrafluoropropene (HFO-1234) in refrigeration equipment is disclosed. These materials are generally useful as refrigerants 5 for heating and cooling, as blowing agents, as aerosol propellants, as solvent composition, and as fire extinguishing and suppressing agents
Abstract:
Disclosed are compositions comprising 1,1,1,3,3-pentafluoropropane, 1,1,1,3,3-pentafluorobutane and water, said compositions are environmentally desirable for use as blowing agents for polymer foam, refrigerants, aerosol propellants, metered dose inhalers, heat transfer media, and gaseous dielectrics.
