Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease the pressure drop in a filter even when enough effective filter length is maintained, to increase the use efficiency of photocatalyst fibers and to improve the filtration ability. SOLUTION: This filter is produced by bundling light-leaking type photocatalyst fibers 10 so as to form a filter structure having a great number of fine vacancies connecting in the longitudinal direction of the photocatalyst fibers. Light is introduced into the photocatalyst fibers which form the filter structure, while a fluid to be treated is introduced through the end face of the filter structure to pass through among the photocatalyst fibers in the longitudinal direction of the fibers.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a humidity controller which can control humidity of a gas to be treated by simple constitution and a photocatalytic device which can display high decomposition removing ability by adjusting humidity corresponding to a component to be treated contained in the gas to be treated. SOLUTION: The humidity controller has a condensation part which condenses and removes moisture in the gas to be treated. Further the photocatalytic device has the humidity controller and a photocatalytic reactor in which the gas to be treated of adjusted humidity is treated by photocatalytic action.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device or the like for measuring transmittance that can accurately and reliably measure transmittance in a mono- filament-type fiber. SOLUTION: In a method for measuring the transmittance of a mono-filament- type fiber, cutback is made from the incidence end side of a fiber to be measured. Also, transmittance is measured while a state where there is no leakage of light due to the bending of the fiber to be measured (a specific slack range or the like while the fiber to be measured is retained) is retained. Then, before the transmittance of the fiber to be measured is measured, an organic matter on the fiber to be measured is eliminated.
