PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a producing method of a glass molding which makes a base material to produce high quality glass articles such as a preform for precision press molding and the like with high quality, with high productivity and efficiently. SOLUTION: The producing method of the glass molding where the glass molding is mass-produced by repeatedly performing such steps that molten glass droplets are dropped into a liquid, cooled in the liquid and molded is characterized by that the liquid is constituted of a layer consisting of the plural kinds of liquids having different specific gravities, (1) the precipitation speed of a glass gob in the liquid is controlled by sequentially precipitating the glass gob thrown on the surface of the liquid in the plural kinds of liquids having different specific gravities and (2) a value of E [J/g] calculated from an equation (1): E=Cp×(BP-LT)+Q (1) wherein, boiling points of respective liquids under 1 atmospheric pressure are BP [°C]; specific heat at constant pressure is Cp [J/(g×K)]; heat of vaporization is Q [J/g]; and set temperature is LT [°C] for the liquid of a lower layer is smaller than that for the liquid of an uppermost layer. SOLUTION: The producing method for the glass molding comprises melting glass raw materials, flowing out the resultant molten glass from a nozzle, dropping, and followed by molding, and is characterized in that the molten glass is dropped and molded in a liquid containing a fluorine compound and a basic substance. The producing method of the preform for precision press molding comprises polishing the glass molding obtained by its producing method. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass gob molding apparatus for molding glass using a plurality of molds while floating the glass in a stable condition. SOLUTION: There are provided the two types of glass gob molding apparatuses comprising supplying molten glass to a mold and molding into a glass gob while floating the molten glass by making a gas eject from the mold and applying wind pressure. The apparatus (1) is provided with a plurality of molds, a gas supply mechanism for supplying the gas for application of wind pressure, and the gas flow path for feeding the gas from the above mechanism to each mold. Further, the apparatus has in the gas flow path, a buffering mechanism for controlling the fluctuation of gas ejection amount in the mold caused by the pressure fluctuation in the gas ejection holes of the other molds. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a test method and a device which enable a quick and sure test for an inner quality of a glass block and to provide a manufacture method of the glass block and a glass forming product using the test method. SOLUTION: In an inner quality test method of the glass block, the glass block immersed in a liquid is irradiated with illuminating light from outside of the liquid, and including an observation of the illuminating light which is penetrated through the glass block at the outside of the liquid. The illuminating light enters the liquid via a transparent part contacting the liquid, the illuminating light transmitted through the glass block is outgoing to the exterior of the liquid via the transparent part contacting the liquid. The observation is conducted at least once by changing a direction of the glass block against the travelling direction of the illuminating light. By using the above test method, the manufacture method of the glass block forms an outflowing molten glass into the glass block, this molten glass is flowed out from a molten glass flowing pipe. The manufacture method of the glass forming product performs a press forming by a mold using the molten glass flowed out from the molten glass flowing pipe. And the test device is prepared. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide examination method and apparatus for rapidly and surely examining the internal quality of glass lump, and a method of manufacturing glass lump and glass molding articles by using the examination method. SOLUTION: The method illuminates light to glass lump immersed in liquid from the outside of the liquid, and observing illumination light transmitted through the glass lump at the outside of the liquid. The illumination light is incident to the liquid through a transparent member in contact with the liquid, and the illumination light transmitted through the glass lump is emitted through the transparent member in contact with the liquid to the outside. The observation is carried out by changing the orientation of the glass lump with respect to the travel direction of the illumination light at least once. The glass lump manufacturing method using the method flows out molten glass from a flow-out pipe and molds glass lump from the flow-out molten glass, and the glass article manufacturing method using the above method flows out molten glass from a flow-out pipe and subjects the flow-out molten glass to press molding with a mold. The examining apparatus uses the above method.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing glass moldings where mass productivity is enhanced by highly accelerating the manufacturing speed of the glass moldings.SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing the glass moldings where molten glass gobs are molded in a cooling step, the molten glass gobs having same masses are sequentially separated from molten glass continuously flowing out; and the glass moldings are obtained by molding the molten glass gobs by circulating and using a plurality of molding dies which synchronously move; a plurality of the glass moldings are collectively taken out from a part of the molding dies, the taken-out glass moldings are arranged, and, while retaining the arranged positions, failure inspection is performed.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a glass molded body by which a glass molded body suitable as a preform for precise pressing having a narrow mass tolerance or as a base material for producing a preform is efficiently and stably mass-produced, to provide a method for producing the preform, and to provide a method for producing an optical element using the preform. SOLUTION: The method for producing a glass molded body is provided in which a process of dropping molten glass droplets on a liquid, and cooling and molding molten glass in the liquid is repeated to mass-produce a glass molded body, wherein the control of holding the temperature of the liquid to the prescribed one in the range of 0 to 200°C is performed, and thus, a solid glass molded body is mass-produced. The method for producing a preform for precise pressing is provided in which the glass molded body obtained by the above method is polished. The method for producing an optical element is also provided in which the glass molded body or preform obtained by the above method is heated, and is subjected to precise pressing. SOLUTION: In the process for producing a glass article, molten glass gobs having a predetermined weight each are poured, or molten glass drops having a predetermined weight each are dropped through a nozzle, into a boiling liquid having a boiling point lower than the glass transition temperature of the glass constituting the glass article or a liquid which is temperature-adjusted beforehand so as to be caused to boil by the amount of heat of the glass, to form glass articles. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for producing a visually faultless glass block from fused glass with high productivity. SOLUTION: The glass block is produced from a fused glass block by being molded and cooled at a glass block molding part with an intermittent circumferential movement. An intermittent circumferential moving time at the glass block molding part is 0.1 second or more and 0.25 second or less and an intermittent circumferential moving distance for one movement at the glass block molding part is 0.8-7 cm. The apparatus for molding the glass block from fused glass which flow out continuously has a turn table which moves around a rotating shaft circumferentially and a glass block mold placed on the turn table. The glass block mold has plural glass block molding parts to mold the glass block by receiving fused glass on the upper face and is placed on the turn table to arrange the glass block molding part with uniform apace on the circumference of which the center is that of the turn table.

SOLUTION: The producing method of a solid glass molding from molten glass where a molten glass gob is thrown into a liquid, cooled in the liquid and molded and the glass molding makes a base material to produce the glass preform for precision press molding by polishing the whole surface is characterized in that the glass molding having the same mass as the molten glass gob is obtained and that the liquid having a boiling point BP under 1 atmospheric pressure of 30-200°C and satisfying a relation formula (1): Cp×(BP-20°C)+Q≤900 J/g (1) wherein, specific heat at constant pressure is Cp [J/(g×K)]; and heat of vaporization is Q [J/g].
