Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a covering attaching importance to design, including a flexible support structure and a plurality of strip pieces, i.e., slats mounted to the support structure so that the movement of the plurality of strip pieces, i.e., slats is dependent upon the movement of the support structure. SOLUTION: The support structure formed of a cellular structural material supports the plurality of strip pieces, i.e., slats 42, and the movement of the strip pieces, i.e., slats is completely dependent upon the movement of the support structure. A fabric 36 of such configuration is usable incorporated into the covering of an architectural opening, and the covering in that case includes, for instance, a headrail 32 and a means for gathering the fabric within the headrail. Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cover of an opening of a building, which has an excellent practical function, for example, of reducing heat lost through the opening, by properly screening the opening of the building, and which is original and excellent in beauty.SOLUTION: A support structure 38 made of a cell-type structural material supports a plurality of strip-shaped pieces, that is, slats 42, and motions of the strip-shaped pieces, that is, the slats 42 completely follow a motion of the support structure 38. A fabric 36 configured in this way can be used by being incorporated into a cover of an opening of the building. The cover in that case includes, for example, a head rail 32 and means for extracting the fabric 36 into the head rail 32.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Venetian blind improving light blocking effect when it is in a closed position and to provide a new system for raising the blind at a predetermined position in the longitudinal direction by a way nice to look at. SOLUTION: A Venetian blind cover for a building opening section arranges vanes in the horizontal direction and includes a plurality of supporting ladders for arranging them at regular intervals in the vertical direction, and the ladders include guide cords arranged at a vertically expanded regular interval and cross battens connecting the guide cords to each other in positions at vertically regular intervals along the guide cords. The cross battens support the related vanes in a horizontal position, the vanes are connected to the cross battens so that the vanes can be surely moved between the horizontal position and a substantially vertical position wherein a light blocking seal is established between the vanes when the guide cords are vertically moved to each other to incline the cross battens.

PURPOSE: To prevent generation of strange appearance due to moire effect providing a plurality of comparatively opaque vanes between two parallel sheer fabric sheets to control the angle of the vanes by the relative movement of the sheer fabric sheets. CONSTITUTION: The edge 142 of a vane 10a adhered to the first sheer fabric sheet 72 and a second sheer fabric sheet 96 is connected to a central part 140 by a part 141 having the shape of a gentle curve. A weight 153 is provided at the bottom of the sheet 96. In addition, a window covering 150 is mounted to a head roller 152. Thus, relative movement in a vertical direction between the sheet 72 and the sheet 96 and angular variation in the direction of the vane 10 are generated by the rotation of the head roller 152 and light is accepted or shielding as it is desired. In addition the sheet 72 is a woven or knitted fabric sheet having mesh in some shape and the sheet 96 is a woven or knitted fabric sheet having mesh in a different shape. Thus, decent and uniform appearance is obtained at all the steps of light control.
Abstract:
An apparatus for fabricating a unique nonwoven fabric which has the appearance of a woven fabric includes a supply station for parallel warp yarns, a support structure for orienting the parallel warp yarns into a cylindrical orientation, a weft yarn applicator for wrapping weft yarns around the cylindrically oriented warp yarns after an adhesive scrim has been overlaid onto the warp yarns, a heating station for activating the adhesive and a cooling station for setting the adhesive, and a cutter for severing the cylindrically formed fabric laminate so that it can be flattened and wrapped onto a take-up roller. The weft yarn applicator including a rotating drum wherein a plurality of spools of weft yarn material are mounted in circumferentially spaced relationship and a tensioner is provided for applying the weft yarn material around the warp yarns in a predetermined tension which may be the same as, greater than, or less than the tension in the warp yarns.
Abstract:
A structure panel (50) for use in building structures or in the formation, finish or decoration thereof includes an outer sheet (54) and a connector sheet (56) with a plurality of collapsible or compressible dividers (52) therebetween. The panel in a rest condition is expanded and of a desired thickness for final use but can be compressed into a relatively thin thickness or profile for shipping purposes. The panel is very lightweight but structurally strong and can be selectively bent in one transverse direction if desired. The panel can be easily cut into an predetermined size or shape.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatus to control an architectural opening covering assembly are disclosed herein. An example method disclosed herein includes determining a position of a covering of an architectural opening covering assembly. The example method further includes determining a speed at which the covering is to move via a motor based on the position and a period of time. The example method also includes operating a motor to move the covering at the speed.
