Abstract:
A system and method that generates a physiological imagery of one or more parts of a patient's body are provided. The system and method combine one or more parameters relating to a particular part of the body and then generates the physiological imagery for the part of the body wherein the physiological imagery may have a characteristic that changes based on the state of the patient.
Abstract:
The present invention is a gap in care alert system for alerting someone associated with a patient (including in one embodiment the patient himself) that a gap in heath care will soon occur or in another embodiment that a gap in care has occurred for the patient based on the occurrence of a triggering event and the absence of a follow-up event occurring. Health insurance claims data may be used in the process to determine gaps in care.
Abstract:
A system and method, using one or more dimensions, that assesses the veracity of a diagnosis presently in a health care record is disclosed. The system assesses the veracity of a diagnosis based on a set of dimension values and a set of weightings. The system also provides a user interface to health care providers/caregivers to review the assessment made by the system and may include a feedback mechanism so that the system may adjust the weighting of the dimensions and improve the assessment of the diagnosis made by the system.
Abstract:
A system and method for automating the dispensation of medication is provided. Electronic medical record data including identifying data and medication data for an individual is received at a server. The medication data is analyzed to identify at least one medication for dispensation. An instruction is initiated to load said identified medication in an automated medication dispenser and the automated medication dispenser is loaded with a dosing tray in the form of a replenishable, standardized cartridge. Status data is received from the automated medication dispenser regarding the dispensation of the identified medication and medication dosages remaining. At least one image of a user interacting with the automated medication dispenser is provided from a monitoring component which is in electronic communication with said automated medication dispenser.
Abstract:
The present invention is a drug interaction alert system for alerting someone associated with a patient (including in one embodiment the patient himself) that a serious potential for drug interaction in heath care has occurred for the patient based on the occurrence of a triggering event. Health insurance claims data is used in the computerized process to score the degree of seriousness of the drug interactions in care.
Abstract:
The present invention is a system and method for providing medical care information to medical care providers identified through the analysis of electronic requests for reimbursement where such information may comprise treatment advice.

Abstract:
A gap in care alert system and method includes a computer network which receives health insurance claims data. A database with medical treatment protocols for medical conditions is in electronic communication with one or more processors, the computer network, and an electronic storage device. The processor is configured to analyze said health insurance claims data to identify a triggering event for an insured patient, establish a date for a follow-up event based on a treatment protocol, and generate a gap in care alert if subsequently gathered health insurance claims data does not contain the follow-up event by said date. An alert delivery subsystem delivers said alert electronically to a receiver.
Abstract:
An automated prescription dispensing system and method for facilitating dispensing of medications from an automated prescription dispenser designed for in-home use. The dispenser may connect to a remote patient monitoring center for monitoring of the patient's dispenser use and adherence to a medication regime. The dispenser may further connect to a remote medication operations center for monitoring replenishment of the patient's medications and to a remote medical center for monitoring the patient's reaction to medications and clinical signs. A connection to a data analytics center and analytical engine facilitates communications among and between the users and/or caregivers at the remote centers. The dispenser may be loaded with a standardized cartridge that is replenished according to the patient's needs. The dispenser is further equipped with a camera that allows a caregiver at the remote patient monitoring center to view the patient while the patient uses the dispenser.
