PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high resolution photoresist composition used under deep UV and usable together with an aqueous developing solution having high basicity. SOLUTION: The photoresist composition contains a methacrylate polymer resin having a phenol group, a crosslinker selected from glycoluril derivatives each capable of reacting with the resin in the presence of an acid catalyst, a photo-acid initiator and an organic solvent. The composition is particularly useful in the formation of a negative type image having a high resolution of

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide synthesis of various α-ω substituted soluble derivatives of sexithiophene suitable for solvent casting, and having very large solubility to a common organic solvent; and their use as the semiconducting channels in organic thin-film field-effect transistors. SOLUTION: Soluble derivatives of sexithiophene in which terminal carbons are substituted with various polar groups are synthesized; and the various polar groups are phosphonic esters, phosphonic acids, phosphonates, carboxylic acids, carboxylates, amines, amides, carbamates, and alcohols, each separated from the terminal thiophene rings by C1-10 methylene groups. Coatings of the derivatives of sexithiophene are each used as a semiconductor constituent. These organic semiconductors are dissolved in common organic solvents and applied to the surface of a substrate in inexpensive, low-temperature solution processing such as spin-coating, dip-coating, drop-casting, or microcontact printing. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for doping carbon nanotube by a solution treatment, a semiconductor device and a method of forming the semiconductor device. SOLUTION: This doping method for carbon nanotube includes a process for exposing the carbon nanotube to a one-electron oxidizer in a solution phase. Further, there are provided a method of forming a carbon nanotube FET device and also a semiconductor device. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the synthesis of various α-ω substitutional sexthiophene, which is suitable to solvent casting and very large in solubility with respect to a general organic solvent and use as the semiconductor channel of its organic thin-film field effect transistor. SOLUTION: The soluble sexthiophene having terminal carbons, substituted by various polarity groups, is synthesized, and the polarity groups are phosphonic acid eter and sulfonic acid, phosphonate, carboxylic acid, carboxylate, amine, amide, carbamate, alcohol, etc., and isolated from a terminal thiophene ring by a C1 to C10 methylene group. A film of the mentioned sexthiophene derivative is used as a semiconductor constituent element. Those organic semiconductors are dissolved in general organic solvents and are applied over substrate surfaces by a low-cost low-temperature solution process, such as spin coating, dip coating, and drop casting, and microcontact printing.
