Abstract: PURPOSE: To prevent internal vibration by a spindle from affecting the rotation of a disk by determining the rigidity characteristics and the arrangement position of vibration cutting mount members so as not to cause a rotary motion in a disk device. CONSTITUTION: The rigidity characteristics and the arrangement position of a vibration cutting mount members 28A, 28B, 28C supporting a disk device 10 are determined so as not to cause the rotary motion of the disk device at the rotational frequency of a spindle 26. In addition, in the case where the rotary motion of the spindle 26 generates a translational force and a rotational force, the mount members 28A-28C are arranged so that the resultant moment of all these forces becomes zero around the center of gravity 30 of the disk device. Incidentally, the mount members 28A-28C may be isotropic members, or the plural mount members may each have different rigidity.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To separate external linear vibrations and to reduce the rotational motion generated by the vibrations by positioning plural vibration isolating mounts provided between the rotating mechanism of a rotating disk and a user frame so that the rigidity center and the damping center are made coincident with the center of mass of the mechanism. CONSTITUTION: Vibration isolating mounts 90a, 90b, 90c and 90d, which are provided between the rotating mechanism that are mounted on a user frame 82, are arranged so that the rigidity center and the damping center are made coincident with the center of mass of the rotational mechanism. Note that the mounts satisfy the equation related to rigidity matrix components k13 and k23 and damping matrix components C13 and C23 in the equation of the motion of the rotational mechanism. Moreover, if required, a mass 92 is added to move the mass center of a driving mechanism 80 to an optimum positions. Thus, the adverse effect due to external linear vibrations is prevented.
