Abstract: The method (a) determine and receive an initial value of code generation on the card;use this value and a code generating algorithm to generate a valid code for the variable access code;authorize card use on a terminal if the valid code has been entered as access code;modify and receive a new code value each time that the code is used on a terminal. This new value is used to generate the a valid code for variable code access the next time that the card is used An additional stage displays the code generation value on the card or displays a partial value of the code on the card terminal, which may be a card reader. The code generation is a random number and the value of the valid code is generated by applying the code generating algorithm with the generated random number. The software includes program code instructions recorded on a support used in a computer memory support such as a floppy disk.
