Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cable connector whose insertion operation and pull out operation is simplified and the prossiblility of bending pins and damaging contacts is eliminated. SOLUTION: This cable connector 1 contains a pair of guiding posts 10 installed single on each side and a specified push and pull type center screw 12 for connecting the guiding posts 10 and the able connector 1 itself. The guiding post 10 is fixed through a nut of a reception connector 2 by a screw. A cable connector cover is sliceable on the guiding posts 10 and is inserted and pulled out of the reception connector 2 by push-and-pull operation of the center screw 12.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metallic heat sink for a semiconductor component mounted on a printed circuit board which does not emit electromagnetic radiation which might obstruct the operation of a logical circuit mounted on the printed circuit board. SOLUTION: This is a heat sink device 24 for a microprocessor 20 mounted on a printed circuit board 22 including a ground face 34, and this is heat conductive, and this is a heat sink device which is equipped with an external surface fixed to the top of a dielectric case with a built-in microprocessor and enables heat exchange with surrounding air. The heat sink device 24 includes a Faraday type of radiation interrupting means which prevents the above device working as an antenna from emitting again the electromagnetic radiation that it received from the microprocessor 20, and connections means 28, 30, and 32 for connecting the above device to the earth face 34 so as to discharge the energy induced by electromagnetic radiation.

Abstract: The connecting device includes a securing plate and locking spring attached to the cable connector of the cable-to-card connectors. The connecting device is pressed, when the connectors are mated, by the front portion of the cable connector against the host machine chassis which in turn is pressed flat against the adapter card brackets. In a preferred embodiment the connecting device is attached on the front portion of a standard cable connector with removable fastener, in particular with a locking spring. In another embodiment, the connecting device is an integral part of the cable connector.
