Abstract: PURPOSE: To improve the storage and the restoration of an accessing device by executing the storage of data to a data processing system by a user interface enabling the user selection of the storing reference of the data file at the time of generating the data file. CONSTITUTION: The data processing system 40 includes an operating system kernel 42 existing within a hardware system 44, which includes CPU 50 and a main memory 52. Then the kernel 42 functions as an interface between the user of the data processing system 40 and the hardware system 44. Then the kernel 42 generates/changes a file, controls an input/output device, and controls the providing of plural device drivers for allowing the data processing system 40 to interface with various external devices so as to improve the storage and the restoration of data to the accessing device.
