Abstract:
An access system is proposed for granting access to a system based on the use of a card having stored user data thereon. The access system comprises a card (1) comprising user data representing a mobile phone number, a card reader (33) for reading data from the card (1), an authentication engine (41) for initiating sending an authentication request (AR) to the mobile phone number, and a mobile phone (2) for sending a return message (RM) to the authentication engine (41) in response to the authentication request (AR). The authentication engine (41) comprises a verification unit (412) for verifying authentication data received with the return message (RM), and for granting access when the return message (RM) comprises validated authentication data.
Abstract:
A method for sending a message from a mobile device via a first application running on the mobile device is proposed. The method comprises a challenge step for supplying the first application with a challenge, a response step for receiving a response to the challenge, an equality check step for determining whether the received response corresponds to an expected response, a signature step for providing a signature for the message, using a cryptographic key and the result of the equality check step, and a send step for sending the signed message via the first application from the mobile device to a backend system.
Abstract:
There is provided a method and a system for documenting a transfer of authority of control for a container from a first entity of a transportation chain to a second entity of the transportation chain. The first entity transfers an electronic container control certificate to an electronic seal of the respective container, which electronic container control certificate comprises a cryptographic key associated to the second entity, and which container control certificate is digitally signed by the first entity. The container control certificate is stored in a log of the electronic seal.
Abstract:
A computing device comprises a processor, a memory connected to the processor, and an application program stored in the memory and executable by the processor for generating data for communication to a remote computer system via a network based on a symbolic control information. A communications protocol stack is stored in the memory and executed by the processor for effecting communication of the data from the mobile device to the remote system. The protocol stack has an application layer for receiving the data from the application program and locating the data received in an application layer protocol data unit, and a network layer for receiving the application layer protocol data unit from the application layer, locating the application layer protocol data unit in a network layer protocol data unit, locating the symbolic control information in the network layer protocol data unit separately from the application layer protocol data unit, and forwarding the network layer protocol data unit to the network for transmission to the remote system.
Abstract:
Methods and devices for determining a geographic location of an electronic device are introduced. A range of radio frequencies at the electronic device's location is scanned by a radio receiver ( 11 ). Characteristics (CH) of a geographically bound transmission system ( 3 ) within said scanned frequencies are identified by a control unit ( 21 ). A matching unit ( 5 ) matches these characteristics (CH) with stored characteristics (SCH) of geographically bound transmission systems of different geographical areas. The geographic location (LD) of said electronic device ( 1 ) is dependent on a result of said matching process.
