    Abstract: The present invention relates to a energy allocation system for operating at least an energy storage device (1) to substantially balance the energy consumed by the energy storage device with the energy supplied thereto, comprising the steps of: determining a power flexibility of the energy storage device by generating an upper time-varying power function (P_max(t)) and a lower time-varying power function (P_min(t)) that respectively represent the maximum power and the minimum power that can be supplied to the device at any given point in time when the energy storage device (1) is in use; predicting energy consumption data (E_consumed(t)) per discrete time-slots over a given time-window for the device; predicting a demand for energy by the device in a given planning time-period by consecutively accumulating the predicted energy consumption data (E_consumed(t)) per discrete time-slots in the planning time-period that correspond with the discrete time-slots in the time- window over which the energy consumption data (E_consumed(t)) is predicted; generating a time-varying upper energy function (4) for the demand prediction that defines an uppermost limit for the supply of energy to the device; generating a time- varying lower energy function (5) for the demand prediction that defines a lowermost limit for the supply of energy to the device, and supplying energy (6') to the device in a range (6) defined by and between the limits specified by the upper energy function (5) and the lower energy function (4).

    Abstract: A method for sending a message from a mobile device via a first application running on the mobile device is proposed. The method comprises a challenge step for supplying the first application with a challenge, a response step for receiving a response to the challenge, an equality check step for determining whether the received response corresponds to an expected response, a signature step for providing a signature for the message, using a cryptographic key and the result of the equality check step, and a send step for sending the signed message via the first application from the mobile device to a backend system.

    Abstract: A method for exchanging one or more supplemental fields between a client and a server comprises receiving a client request 405 for a URL, and determining whether the server can complete the request 410. If the server cannot complete the request but another server can, a Redirect message 435 is returned to the client specifying a different URL associated with a different server. A supplemental information request 437 is sent to the client if any of the supplemental information fields are required before completing the client request. If a predetermined number of events to obtain the supplemental field are unsuccessful, or if no server can complete the request, an error message 425 is returned to the client.
