    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method operating on an established first connection between a first endpoint device and a second endpoint device. SOLUTION: An example embodiment of the method comprises a decision step in which a decision is made in the first endpoint device whether to switch form the first connection to a second connection between the first endpoint device and the second endpoint device. Upon the decision being to switch, an information exchange step is carried out for exchanging connection information between the first endpoint device and the second endpoint device, enabling the establishment of the second connection. Furthermore, a setup step is carried out for establishing the second connection under use of the connection information. The invention further relates to a telecommunication endpoint device that provides selection between the two connections.

    Abstract: Electronic devices and methods of processing and preparing processing application data are disclosed. Application data are operated on a first electronic device (2a) and a copy of said application data is operated on at least another electronic device (2b). A method call for modifying application data on the first device (2a) is translated into a more general description. The description is passed to the other device (2b). The application data on the first device (2a) is processed according to the method call. On the second device (2b), the received description of the method call is translated into a locally executable method call which is processed on the copy of application data.

    Abstract: The invention relates to a method for operating virtual networks. The method comprises providing a first virtual network comprising a first set of network ports assigned to a first virtualization tag (T1) and a second virtual network comprising a second set of network ports assigned to a second virtualization tag (T2), the first and the second virtual network having compatible address ranges and being adapted to only pass data packets within them, providing a first network node having a source address (SA) in the first virtual network and being operationally connected to a first port (P1) assigned to the first virtual network by means of the first virtualization tag (T1), monitoring the first network node in order to detect a predetermined condition, and, on detection of the predetermined condition, reassigning the first port (P1) to the second virtual network by means of assigning the second virtualization tag (T2) to the first port (P1), such that no data packet can be passed from the first network node (N1) to a second network node (N2) connected to a second port (P2) assigned to the first virtual network by means of the first virtualization tag (T1) directly and keeping of the source address (SA) for the first network node (N1) in the second virtual network (104). The invention further relates to a further method for operation virtual networks, a data network system and a computer program product adapted to perform the inventive methods.

    Abstract: A teleconferencing system 10 comprises one or more telecommunication systems 1;2;3, and two or more subscriber terminals 61;71 connected to said telecommunication systems. An electronic computing means 4 is connected the telecommunication systems of the teleconferencing system. The electronic computing means, which is typically a server-type computer, runs a conference initiating program 5. Means is provided for supplying an availability signal based on presence information associated with each subscriber terminal. The availability signal is accessible to the server. The telecommunication systems cooperate with the conferencing initiating program to initiate a conference between the subscriber terminals. The program 5 initiates a conference between the subscriber terminals by attempting transmission of a conference call when such call is requested by any of said subscriber terminals. The conference call is transmitted to each subscriber terminal as soon as its associated availability signal indicates availability of that terminal.
