Abstract:
Audio is analyzed based on semitone intervals (402-406) and an average is calculated for each semitone channel (408-410). Running averages are calculated for each semitone channel (412) and averages are compared to see if they cross (414, 416). Crossing events are marked and utilized in combination with frequency spectrum data to determine a match between stored sound patterns and the input audio.
Abstract:
A method is provided for selling products containing or relating to audio content. According to the method, it is determined whether audio identifying information generated for an audio content image matches audio identifying information in an audio content database (308). If the audio identifying information generated for the audio content image matches audio identifying information in the audio content database, at least one product containing or relating to audio content that corresponds to the matching audio identifying information is identified (310). In one embodiment, the audio content image is received (305), and the audio identifying information is generated for the audio content image (306). In another embodiment, the audio identifying information for the audio content image is received. Also provided is a system for selling products.
Abstract:
A method (100) for creating a load balanced spatial partitioning of a structured, diffusing system of particles with pairwise interactions, comprises steps of: assigning a weight corresponding to a computational cost for a pair interaction of particles to a simulation space distance between the particles (106); performing a spatial partitioning (108) of the simulation space; and assigning computation of pair interaction to any node that has the positions of both particles (110). The method can also be implemented as machine executable instructions executed by a programmable information processing system or as hard coded logic in a specialized computing apparatus (200) such as an application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC).

Abstract:
A message packet transmitter for transmitting a packet of electronic data signals onto a communication network without interruption. A first-in, first-out electronic memory has a transmit state in which an electronic data signal stored therein is output. The electronic memory has an idle state in which electronic data signals stored therein are not output. A message packet-in-transit identification circuit generates a packet-in-transit signal after the electronic memory outputs the first electronic data signal in a message packet. A no-packet-in-transit signal is generated after the electronic memory outputs the last electronic data signal in the message packet. A state controller maintains the electronic memory in the transmit state when the electronic memory stores at least a portion of a message packet, when the state controller receives a packet-in-transit signal, and when the state controller receives an interrupt-pending signal.
Abstract:
An information processing system includes a processor configured for: defining a simulation space comprising a plurality of fragments and a plurality of processing nodes; determining a weight corresponding to the computational cost for a given pairwise fragment interaction; assigning the weight to the simulation space at a point between the two interacting fragments; performing a spatial partitioning of a volume of the simulation space such that all partitions have substantially the same weight; and assigning a computation of the pairwise fragment interaction to any node that has the positions of both groups of fragments.
