    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform communication with a web browser executed on a remote/ mobile processing system by storing a request from the web browser to a server application in a continuous request queue in a second computer. SOLUTION: The remote/mobile processing system is provided with the application of the web browser 10 or the like executed on the system, intercepts the request from the web browser 10 by an HTTP request interceptor 31 and puts it in the request queue 32. The request is processed in an HTTP request queue processor 33, and when connection with the second computer capable of accessing a server specified by the request is established, the requests are performed. When the requests are processed, the service thread 34 of the respective requests is started and the requests are executed. A response to the request is put in a cache 35 and related to the request from the request queue which generates the request.

    Abstract: Packet messages transmitted on a packet communications network include origin and destination addresses in the form of stacked address elements which can be pushed or popped off of the stack. A plurality of interconnected packet communications network include routing nodes which utilize the top address element on the destination stack to route the message. Such routing nodes also include stack element editing facilities for popping elements from the stacks, constructing new elements to be pushed onto the stacks, and amending the contents of elements on the stack. This arrangement allows messages to be launched on the networks where the originating station does not have full knowledge of the destination station, and the routing nodes add the necessary destination information as it becomes necessary for routing.

    Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for communicating with a web browser (10) executing on a remote/mobile processing system (5) which is temporarily and intermittently connected to a second computer. Requests e.g. on HTML forms from the web browser (10) to a server application accessible to the second computer are stored in a persistent request queue (32) at the remote/mobile processing system (5). An interim response is provided to the web browser (10) in response to the request from the client application. The stored request may be recalled to allow user modification of the stored request prior to the request being provided to the second computer (6) for transmission to the server application. Thus a patient admission form could be edited to correct errors or be resubmitted with new data for a different patient. By storing requests in a request queue and providing an interim response to the web browser asynchronous operation of the web browser is achieved.
