    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent forgery of a record by periodically receiving a challenge from an approval source by a camera or a recording device. SOLUTION: Unpredictable digital signal and challenge are periodically and simultaneously communicated by the approval source 10. These are received and stored by an approval challenge repository 20. Simultaneously, these are also received by a video camera assembly 25, and video signal 50 is digitalized by a digitalizer 55 and is stored in a large capacity storage medium 60 for the purpose of retrieval later on. Then, this output of the means 55 is also supplied to a digester 65, and is digested by using a hash function, so as to be transmitted via a transmitting means 70 to an approval digest repository 75, where the digested digital signal is stored together with its receiving time and other identification information. Consequently, when a length between recording time and certification time is shortened, a forger is asked for a large amt. of information, and hence simulation of recording the challenge in real time cannot be performed in such a brief time.

    Abstract: LASER CATHETER FOR ABLATION OF LESIONS IN A BLOOD VESSEL Lesions in human blood vessels may be removed with little or no thermal damage to vessel wall, and with reduced risk of accidental wall perforation, using a catheter which delivers laser energy in the 210 to 320 nanometer wavelength range through an elastomer-clad high-purity silica optical fiber positioned in a catheter sheath with provision for lesion destruction product removal and with increase to visible wavelengths for removal of calcified portions of said lesions.

    Abstract: A method for distributing wire load among the layers of a multilayer interconnection package such that in each region of the package, the wire load is balanced among all layers and such that specified subsets of two-pin connections may be constrained to lie within the same layer.More specifically a method is disclosed for distributing connections within the layers of a multilayer circuit board, the method comprising the steps of: a) reading connection data relating to the location of pins on the interconnection board at which the connections terminate; b) defining a connection type for each connection based on the locations of the pins of said connection; and c) distributing connections of one or more connection types among the layers of the interconnection board such that for each connection type, the difference in the number of connections of that type distributed to each of the several layers is less than or equal to 1.
