Abstract: A method is given which makes it possible to have available a very high wiring density only in those subregions of a printed circuit board where semiconductor components are directly attached (Direct-Chip-Attach, DCA), that is to say in regions having very high requirements with regard to I/O density. An automated registering routine allows very accurate registering or positioning in the DCA regions during the corresponding steps of the process.
