Abstract: Apparatus for testing an electrical circuit comprises: a base part for receiving a printed circuit board 10 carrying the electrical circuit, the base part comprising a plurality of test pins 20 for contacting a corresponding plurality of solder pads 30 formed on a first surface of the circuit board; a cover part comprising a test head 70 facing a second surface of the printed circuit for shorting together a plurality of contacts of a component of the electricaL circuit connected to the plurality of solder pads and mounted on the second surface of the circuit board; means 120 for applying a stimulus signal to a first one 20a of the test pins; and, means 133 for detecting the stimulus signal from a second one 20b,20c of the test pins. Preferably the test head comprises a resilient pad, 100 with a contact strip 90, eg. of braid, and is urged against the contacts 40 of the component by a pneumatic plunger.
