Abstract: PURPOSE: To prevent instability in a servo control system in an optical disk drive by shifting a feedback phase by 180 deg. and mechanically feedback controlling. CONSTITUTION: A rough actuator 16 provided with a carriage 15 for controlling tracking movement of a read/write head 12 is attached to the base 11, of the optical disk drive 10. The actuator 16 is provided with a voice coil 23, etc., and a precise actuator 14 controlling focusing of an objective lens 13 also, and the actuator 14 is feedback controlled mechanically through a circuit card 21. The feedback phase is shifted by 180 deg. by the opening of the base 11 and a bend member of a spindle attaching flange, and reduction in a phase margin is eliminated. Thus, the instability in the servo control system is prevented, and the optical disk drive capable of stably controlling a mechanical servo without harmful resonance occurrence, etc., is obtained.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To surely fix an actuator by providing a fixing means with an engagement means to be engaged with the actuator for the purpose of regulating its movement, a means for connecting the engagement means with a carry-in/out means and a magnetic means for strengthen the engagement. CONSTITUTION: When a slider bracket 15 is in a reproducing position as shown in the figure A, a cam body 836 is positioned on the backward side of a cam hole 834, and an elevator member 812 is positioned in its lowered position. Then, when the bracket 15 is in an ejecting position as shown in the figure B, the cam body 836 is positioned on the forward side of the cam hole 834, and the member 812 is positioned in its lifted position. In other words, the actuator is fixed or released by the engagement means 802 according to the movement of the bracket 15 back and forth. In addition, since a magnetic substance 840 is always given upward force by magnetic flux leaked from a magnet, the member 812 is also always given upward force, thus resolving backlash.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To effectively reproduce information without a large force for taking out a recording medium when a drive source is inoperative and also without bringing about a disturbance in an operation in the case of a normal driving. CONSTITUTION: When a driving force 300 becomes inoperative due to a breakdown of a power-supply unit, etc., in the state that a recording medium 200 is carried into a reproduction position, a clip or driver, etc., as an operation rod 280 is inserted into a through hole 270. Then, the tip of the operation rod 280 is abutted on a contact part 515 of a gear disengaging member 515, pressing down the contact part 515 and then passing by it before it is abutted on a contact part 615 of a turning arm 610, which is turned by a light force for a recording medium 200 to be taken out. Further, device does not bring about a disturbance in an operation in the case of a normal driving. Thus, information can effectively be reproduced.
