Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide compression and decompression of data, specifically, a method and device for compressing and decompressing signal data.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for compressing signal data including acquiring the signal data, determining a block length of a plurality of data blocks into which the signal data is divided and determining an exponent of the data blocks; forming a mantissa sequence of the data blocks by using the exponent of the data block so as to compress the signal data included in the data block, and forming compressed data blocks by using the block length, exponent, and mantissa sequence of the data blocks. The method for compressing the signal data increases a compression ratio of the signal data by constructing variable-length data blocks adapted to dynamic features of the signal data.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base station system that reduces data traffic and communication bandwidth pressure between a radio unit and a baseband processing unit.SOLUTION: A remote radio unit comprises: a transformation unit to obtain uplink time domain signal data and transform it into uplink frequency domain signal data; a compression unit to compress the uplink frequency domain signal data by using a compression algorithm; a decompression unit to obtain compressed downlink signal data from a baseband processing unit and decompress the same; and an inverse transformation unit to obtain downlink time domain signal data by inversely transforming the decompressed downlink signal data. The baseband processing unit comprises a decompression module for uplink data and a compression module for downlink data.
