    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for providing security to a computer on a computer network so as to permit a remote configuration of the computer. SOLUTION: When a system meets a network supply privilege access password(PAP) during the system boot-up operation of the computer, that network supply PAP is compared with a system install PAP. The network supply PAP is stored into a first place of the non-volatile memory of the computer and the system install PAP is stored into a second place of the non-volatile memory. The system install PAP is previously inputted through a keyboard to the computer. When the network supply PAP does not match with the system install PAP, an illegality proving mechanism is set into the computer. When the network supply PAP is matched therewith, boot-up is continued. After boot-up is completed, the configuration of the computer can be remotely executed through the network.
