Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To combine an existing object by accepting a choice of the existing object to be combined, defining a retrieved method and an attribute by applying a composition rule, and storing a reference code in the composite object. SOLUTION: The choice of the existing object to be combined is accepted (302) and the method and attribute of the selected object are retrieved (304). Here, the composition rule is applied to the retrieved method and attribute for the selected object to define the method and attribute for the combined object (306). The attribute or method of the combined object can be corrected (308). When the method or attribute of the combined object should not be corrected, the reference code to the combined method and attribute is stored in its composite object (312). To generate a composite business object, other elements, i.e., a key and a data object are defined (314).
