Abstract:
A multi-source multi-tenant reference data utility (1) and methods for forming and maintaining the same, delivering high quality reference data in response to requests from clients (6, 7, 8, 9), implemented using a shared infrastructure, and also providing added value services using the client's reference data. Included are data cleansing and quality assurance of the received data with full tracking of the sourcing of each value, storage of resulting entity values in a repository (20) which allows retrievals and enforces source based entitlements of clients, and delivery of retrieved data in the form of on demand datasets (30, 31, 32, 33) supporting a wide range of client application needs. An advantageous implementation has additional services for reporting on data quality and usage, a selection of value adding data driven computations and business document storage. The shared infrastructure and amortizing the costs of data quality assurance, assures that better quality data at lower cost is delivered.
Abstract:
Techniques are disclosed for processing requests in a data processing system. While the principles of the invention are not limited to a particular domain, they are particularly suitable for use in an electronic trading system. By way of example of one aspect of the invention, a method for directing requests to at least one node in a system comprising multiple nodes and a plurality of requests comprises associating a number to each request, assigning at least one number to each node so as to balance a load across the nodes, and sending & request to a node based on the number associated to the request. Various other aspects are disclosed.
Abstract:
A service contract system for providing a business service includes a communication network, parties coupled to the communication network and a service contract 514 specifying unambiguous rules of interaction for the parties during transactions for the service. A method for managing service transactions, between parties coupled to a communication network, involves jointly developing a service contract having unambiguous rules of interaction between the contracting parties, registering the service contract with each of the parties and generating, from the service contract, enforcer modules consistent with the rules of interaction, for managing transactions of the service.
