    Abstract: PURPOSE: To reduce the di/dt (induction/resistance voltage drop) noise irrespective of the voltage change by regulating the high and low voltage supplies to a driver stage. CONSTITUTION: Predriving stage in off-chip driver 10 is connected at the sources of FETs 18, 22, 24 to a regulated voltage supply 34 via a P-REGULATOR buffer 35. The sources of FETs 25, 28, 31 are connected to a regulated voltage supply 35 via N-REGULATOR buffer 37. Further, buffer amplifiers 35, 36 obtain outputs REGP, REGN. The current I which passes OCD FET pair 11, 14 or OCD FET pair 12, 15 is proportional to the square of the difference between the voltage VGS between the gate and source of the FET and threshold value VT.
