Abstract: The software tools are generated by a converter 300. It contains a source in the form of a specification 310 that has operating system data, characters, data, initialisation data, personalisation data and application data. The unit generates a special structure 315 for converting this into a form for the smart card. The converter generates the information via an attribute tree structure 320, used together with templates 335. Outputs are generated in the form of an binary image of the memory 370, a table 380 or user directory 390 for the EEPROM of the card.
