Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide secure earthing, and to facilitate mounting/dismounting a card. SOLUTION: In this connector 1, (1) first GND connection parts 11-1, 11-2 are provided on faces opposing to a sib-card board on latches 7-1, 7-2, and grounding is realized by making the first GND connection parts in contact with first electrodes provided on a sub-card board when the sub-card board is connected with the connector, and/or (2) second GND connecting parts 12-1, 12-1 are provided in positions opposing to the sub-card board on faces opposite to latches on latch supporting parts 6-1, 6-2, and grounding is realized by making the second GND connection parts in contact with second electrodes provided on the sub-card board when the sub-card board is connected with the connector. This connector is incorporated into a computer.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a board connector assembly whereby the creeping distance for insulation is secured. SOLUTION: A board connector assembly includes a first circuit board 100, a second circuit board 30, and a connector 10 mounted on the first board and connecting the wiring patterns thereon with the wiring patterns on the second board 30. The first board is equipped with the first wiring patterns 103 connectible to external wiring and wiring patterns within the secondary wiring region 105 isolated from the first wiring patterns for a specified creeping distance. The connector is equipped with a contact array and a key to prevent erroneous connection of the second circuit board formed in a position dividing the contacts in the array into a first 17 and a second group 19, and the contacts of the first group are connected to the first wiring patterns 103 while the contacts of the second group are connected to the wiring patterns in the secondary wiring region.
