Abstract: This invention relates to enclosures for computers, and more particularly to such an enclosure which facilitates access to and shielding of the operative components of a personal computer. The enclosure includes a chassis, a cover for cooperating with the chassis for enclosing a volume to contain operating components of the microcomputer, and interrupted wedge members for coupling the chassis and cover upon relative movement therebetween in a predetermined direction. The interrupted wedge members include a plurality of hooks on one of the chassis and cover and a plurality of pockets on the other, with the hooks and pockets being disposed along two sides of the chassis and cover for entry of hooks into cooperating pockets on movement of the cover into position for cooperation with the chassis in enclosing a volume.

Abstract: This disclosure relates to a computer apparatus and method for assembly of a direct access storage device with such a computer and describes a direct attachment of an electromechanical storage device to the bus structure provided by a planar board or motherboard of a personal computer system. An electromechanical direct access storage device such as a magnetic or optical disk drive has a circuit board mounted therewith which provides a first connector capable of mating with a second connector mounted on the planar board. A chassis and mounting arrangement are provided by which an open bay in which the storage device is to be mounted is accessible from the front of the personal computer, and the device is guided into a position for mating engagement of the connectors while the circuit and planar boards are parallel.

Abstract: A wireless stylus includes a pocket clip having a latch which, upon insertion into a storage compartment within a digitizer, engages a cam. The cam has a shape that causes the latch to move into engagement with a keeper as the stylus is pushed into the compartment and then released. The keeper holds the stylus in a stored position. The latch is released upon first pushing the stylus and then releasing it. Biasing means engages the stylus and moves it against the keeper and ejects the stylus outwardly from the storage compartment allowing the stylus to be grasped and withdrawn from the tablet. The storage compartment is open at opposite ends and has two cams, one at each end of the compartment so that the stylus, at the convenience of the user, can be inserted into either end for storage.
