Abstract: PURPOSE: To provide a system that cam write a servo-truck in a desired position on the rotation medium by using a laser beam to correctly decide the angular position o a rotary actuator. CONSTITUTION: A part of an output beam given from a laser 10 to an interferometer 12 is directed as a standard beam to a receiver by a beam splitter, and the remaining incident beam is caused to hit at an appropriate angle against the plane mirror reflection surface 14a integrally formed on an actuator arm 14, then it is reflected again on the plane mirror after being incident on a corner cube 16 positioned at the convergence position, and returned to the receiver air the interferometer. Herein, the interferometer and receiver decide the angular position of the actuator arm with respect to the standard position.
