Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for performing a commercial activity such as an auction in a local area to some extent. SOLUTION: A potential consumer existing within the area has mobile radio communication equipment that can be programmed by a set of desired transactions and tastes such as a brand or a transaction type desired by the consumer. Retail business receives communication from the communication equipment and is connected so as to respond to desired transaction and taste by proposing merchandise or a service by a concrete condition such as a price. The communication equipment receives communication from the retail business and has a possibility of returning communication showing a potential offer to the retail business so that the retail business can correct or improve the offer. Thus, the retail business at the present place is aware of the offers received by the consumer, improve the offers and makes the purchase of the potential consumer sure.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the use of mobile control channel for roaming between networks. SOLUTION: A method of roaming between mobile and radio networks includes a step of detecting a wireless network and a step of querying the wireless network for an Internet Protocol address for a mobile device. The Internet protocol address can be received. Accordingly, a message can be sent to the mobile switching center of the mobile network using a mobile control channel. This message can instruct the mobile switching center to designate a route for voice data directed to the mobile device to the Internet protocol address via a gateway and the radio networks which are communicably linked. Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method, system and device for subscriber service management. SOLUTION: The system can include a service renewal system, configured to renew service subscriptions based upon identifying information associated with the service subscriptions. The system also can include one or more subscribers, calling the service renewal system over a PSTN to renew respective service subscriptions. Finally, the system can include a logic, disposed within the PSTN to obtain the identifying information, and providing the obtained identifying information to the service renewal system. Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a voice multi-network roaming from a mobile to 802.11, which utilizes SIP signaling with a SIP proxy server or a redirect server. SOLUTION: A method of roaming between a mobile network and a wireless network can include a step of receiving an invitation from a user agent arranged in a mobile communication device via a radio network. The mobile communication device can be involved in a call via a voice channel in the mobile network. This method can comprise a step of selecting any one having an affinity with the user agent from among a plurality of gateways each being configured as an interface between at least one mobile network and the radio network. A call can be handed over from the mobile network so that at least one part of the call may be conducted via the radio network using the selected gateway. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method, system, and apparatus for allowing cellular telephone unit users to freely roam between a cellular telephone network and a wireless network without dropping calls. SOLUTION: The method of roaming between a cellular network and a wireless network can include receiving an invitation over the wireless network. The invitation can be sent from a mobile communications device engaged in a cellular call over a cellular voice channel. The method also can include the steps of authenticating the mobile communications device over the wireless network, sending an acknowledgement of the invitation to the mobile communications device over the wireless network, and initiating a handover. The established cellular call can be switched from the cellular telephone network to the wireless network. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an I/O class interface that both a Java application and a Java applet can use by writing data whose length is unknown to a buffer, deciding the length of the data, and passing the data and the decided length from a program. SOLUTION: The information processor 200 executes at least one instruction from an interpreter base program on an interpreter machine. An array is defined in a RAM 217 and a byte counter is reset to 0. A conditional function conducts a test for deciding whether or not there is a byte to be written. When there is a byte to be written, the size of the byte array is increased by one and the byte is written to the byte array. Then the byte counter is increased by one and this process is repeated until no byte to be written is left. After the process ends, the number of bytes written to the byte array is read and used to set the length of an output stream.
