Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible for a user with active glasses to see private data on a display, and for a non-permitted observer without the active glasses to see only masking data thereon. SOLUTION: The method for providing privately seeable data on a display, which can be seen by the public, comprises a step for generating a sequencing pattern, a step for generating data signal having a frame of private data scattered between frames of the masking data according to the sequencing pattern, a step for supplying data signals to a display which can be seen by the public, and a step for opening/closing a pair of shutters of the glasses according to the sequencing pattern. The user watching the display by using active glasses can see private data, while the non-permitted observer without the active glasses can see only the private data covered up with the masking data.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for performing a commercial activity such as an auction in a local area to some extent. SOLUTION: A potential consumer existing within the area has mobile radio communication equipment that can be programmed by a set of desired transactions and tastes such as a brand or a transaction type desired by the consumer. Retail business receives communication from the communication equipment and is connected so as to respond to desired transaction and taste by proposing merchandise or a service by a concrete condition such as a price. The communication equipment receives communication from the retail business and has a possibility of returning communication showing a potential offer to the retail business so that the retail business can correct or improve the offer. Thus, the retail business at the present place is aware of the offers received by the consumer, improve the offers and makes the purchase of the potential consumer sure.
Abstract:
Systems and methods are provided wherein a base device facilitates a determination of a location associated with an occurrence of an event. A location of the base device is determined, and the base device receives information from an event device fig. 3, element 602. For example, a device in a police automobile may receive information from a police handgun via a wireless communication. Information is then stored to enable a determination of a location associated with an occurrence of an event.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a differential security policy in an electronic system. SOLUTION: A differential message security policy includes a step 201 for receiving information regarding activities of a user, a step 202 for determining a security risk for the user based on the activities of the user, and a step 203 for setting a security policy for the user based on the security risk. The security policy of the user may be modified based on a change in the security risk of the user or the security risk of the user exceeding a predetermined level. The security risk may be determined based on an aggregated scoring system that uses security variables related to the activities of the user. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an efficient advertisement display method. SOLUTION: This method for displaying advertisements includes a step (1), where an advertisement including a plurality of commercials is stored in a storage area of a viewer device, a step (2) where program contents are received via a network for display, a step (3) where the display of a commercial is requested and a trigger to search a commercial in the storage area is recognized, and a step (4) where the commercial stored in the storage area is displayed, when the commercial is arranged in the storage area. This method employs a suitable storage device, a cable set-top box 43 and a TV unit 40 that are configured to execute this method. Furthermore, this method can be executed at an end user device or at a client device connected to a network such as the Internet.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network node system and method for connecting one or more telephone lines to one or more wireless connections. SOLUTION: The network node system includes one or more connections to one or more telephone lines, one or more wireless signal generators supporting one or more wireless connections, and one or more controllable interconnections between the telephone line and the wireless signal generator.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide signal continuity and safety in the case of the accidental interruption of a laser beam. SOLUTION: At a transmission end, a main laser generates a beam and the beam is surrounded by a low output protective beam generated by a pulse laser. In a receiver, a lens system is provided with a main lens for receiving a main laser beam and the annular set of surrounding divided lenses functioning as the set of parallel receivers for the peripheral protective beam. A trigger circuit is connected to the parallel receivers. During an operation, the protective beam isolates the main laser beam and detects interruption. When the protective beam is interrupted at a certain spot in the longitudinal direction of the beam, one or more parallel receivers are interrupted, signals are generated by the trigger circuit, a return laser is activated and main laser performance is changed (including the shutdown of the beam). When shutdown is performed, the present stream of bits or packets to the main laser is buffered and stored.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To expand the choice and controlling range of a user concerning the display of contents to be sent by providing an end user inputting device for receiving a signal for expressing one view, a rendering device, etc. for preparing an individualized view for displaying for an end user. SOLUTION: This system is provided with an end user inputting device for receiving a signal for expressing at least one of at least two views of video, a rendering device, etc., for preparing an individualized view for displaying for an end user. Then, a viewer 80 connected with the branch of a tree 60 selects an image consisting of the part of video streams from cameras 1, 3 for viewing and looks at the images of a player 10 and football 12. A viewer 81 connected with the branch of a tree 61 selects an image consisting of the part of video streams from the cameras 1, 2 for viewing and looks at the images of the players 10 and 11.
Abstract:
A method and system for increasing ease-of-use and bandwidth utilization in a wireless device capable of accessing a communication network is disclosed. The present invention uses the wireless device to send information about the environment to a server on the communication network. In response, the wireless device receives identifiers from the server of the web sites most likely to be requested by a user of the wireless device in that environment. In a further aspect of the present invention, the wireless device may also pre-fetch contents from the identified web sites in times when bandwidth is not in use to further speed responsiveness of the device.
Abstract:
A system and method of conducting commercial activities such as an auction in a rather localized area (such as a shopping mall). Potential consumers located in the local area have a mobile wireless communications device (for example, a smart cellular phone or a 2-way radio or a Bluetooth communication device) including a set of stored instructions allowing the device to be programmed with a set of desired transactions and preferences such as the brands or transaction types which the consumer prefers. Merchants are connected to receive a communication from the communications device and respond to the desired transaction and preferences by proposing goods or services at specific terms such as price. The mobile wireless communications device associated with the potential consumer has the potential to receive communications from merchants (either directly or through an intermediate system) and to transmit a communication back to the merchant indicating the potential offer so that a merchant can revise or improve the offer. In this way, local merchants can be aware of the offers that a consumer receives and can improve on those offers to secure the potential consumer's business. While the actual transaction may be conducted in person at the merchant, one can envision a system where the transaction is completed through the wireless communication system with the payment occurring through charge or other electronic transaction and the delivery of the goods or service through conventional delivery channels.
