Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To respond to unrecognized necessity of an application of installed computer technique by preventing or decreasing generation of bothersome behavior which can form an unsuccessful factor when a door latch of a vehicle is unlocked. SOLUTION: A sensor detects an effect which can occur due to opening of the vehicle door latch by a mechanical means, and temporarily inhibits an electronic lock releasing signal until the mechanical activating means is absent. Preferably, all functions are executed in an installed microprocessor control device of the automobile, and the control device checks the state of the door sensor upon occurrence of the lock-releasing event. When the sensor detects that a person tries to mechanically open the door, a lock-releasing signal is not immediately transmitted. Preferably, the control device continues to check the state of the door sensor, and activates a lock-releasing mechanism only after the sensor is in a clear state. However, if the sensor is not cleared in a predetermined time-out period, the control device simply interrupts lock- releasing operation. This is executed for avoiding confusion of the user by the lock-releasing operation a little while after pressing-down a lock-releasing switch.

An Independent claim for a control device for an automobile door lock is also included.
