Abstract: Un artículo (100, 200) adaptado para contener una muestra licuada para la cuantificación de material biológico en la muestra, que comprende un dispositivo (110, 210) que tiene una cámara de reacción (112) que encierra un volumen en la misma, dicha cámara de reacción (112) tiene una abertura superior a través de la cual se puede verter una muestra licuada y una pluralidad de compartimentos discretos no permeables (126, 126a-c, 226), teniendo cada uno de dichos compartimentos (126, 126a-c, 226) un borde superior y estando configurado y dimensionado para contener partes alícuotas separadas de una muestra licuada en el mismo, y una tapa con junta de estanqueidad (122, 124, 222, 224) sujeta de forma que se puede quitar a la parte superior de dicho dispositivo (110, 210), estando configurada y dimensionada dicha tapa con junta de estanqueidad (122, 124, 222, 224) para sellar el borde superior de cada compartimento (126, 126a-c, 226) para evitar la comunicación líquida entre dichos compartimentos (126, 126a-c, 226), caracterizado porque la cámara de reacción (112) define un eje central a través de la misma y la pluralidad de compartimentos discretos no permeables (126, 126a-c, 226) están formados radialmente alrededor de dicho eje central, y por un distribuidor de carga (116) sujeto a la cámara de reacción (112) de modo que dicho distribuidor de carga (116) distribuye una muestra líquida a cada uno de los compartimentos (126, 126a-c, 226) mediante dicho distribuidor de carga (116).

Abstract: An article for holding a liquefied sample for the quantification of biological material in the sample includes a device having a reaction chamber enclosing a volume therein, the reaction chamber having an upper opening through which a liquefied sample can be poured and a plurality of discrete non-permeable compartments, each of the compartments having an upper rim and being configured and dimensioned to hold separate aliquots of a liquefied sample therein; and a gasket lid removably secured to the top of the device, the gasket lid being configured and dimensioned for sealing the upper rim of each compartment to prevent liquid communication between the compartments.
