Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst for hydrogenating a heavy hydrocarbon supply raw ingredient yielding a fair hydrogenating conversion gain, namely a gain of the conversion of at least a portion of the heavy hydrocarbon supply raw ingredient into a lighter hydrocarbon.SOLUTION: An improved catalyst for hydrogenating a heavy hydrocarbon supply raw ingredient is obtained by combining vanadium and phosphorus with at least one type of group VIB metallic element and at least one type of group VIII metallic element and by supporting all elements on a porous refractory oxide having proper surface textural characteristics.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of configuring plates for filtering and uniformly distributing gas and liquid at an inlet to a fixed bed type catalytic reactor operating in a trickle flow mode.SOLUTION: Gas is admitted via an open upper end of distribution elements 5, said upper end being located above a filtration layer 4. Liquid is admitted via a row of orifices 10, this row being located in a portion below the filtration layer 4 and above a plate 2 itself.
