    Abstract: The invention relates to a read/write module (10) for optical storage systems and a laser device (20) which can notably be used with such a read/write module (10). The read/write module (10) comprises a base plate (18) on which the following are mounted: a laser device (20) for the emission and collimation of a laser beam (100) in a direction which is parallel to the surface of the base plate (18); a receiving device (40) for housing a beam splitter (13) and a plurality of polarizers (15A-D); and a plurality of photodetectors (17A-D) which are mounted in a planar manner below the polarizers (15A-D). The collimation lens (22) is secured to the base plate (18) and/or intermediate carrier (26). by means of a transparent fixing element (23).
