Abstract: A communication device for communicating speech and data, has a data system (100) comprising a data transceiving device (101), a coupling device, a speech system (200) for transmission and reception of speech data and comprising a speech transceiving device (201). The communication device further comprises a transmission device (401) for transmission of the tariff conditioned signal (205) in the tariff conditioned signal generator (203) of the speech system (200). A tariff determined signal (205a) is supplied to the data transceiving device (101) and is superimposed in the data system with the tariff conditioned signal contained in the speech transmission signal (204), so that the data reception signal contains less signal components of the tariff conditioned signals (205,205a). An independent claim is included for a method for communication of speech and data.

Abstract: The method involves executing a discrete Fourier transformation in an input signal to produce a discrete Fourier transform. A recognizing parameter is determined for an audio frequency depending on two selected Fourier coefficients of the Fourier transform. The coefficients are selected in such a manner that a preset audio frequency lies between the Fourier frequencies, which are assigned to the coefficients. The recognizing parameter is compared with reference values for determining the audio frequency and for recognizing an audio signal. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a sound recognizing device for recognizing an audio signal with a preset audio frequency (2) a computer program product with a computer program, which is machine readable and stored in a storage unit and causes the execution of an audio signal recognizing method in a computer.

Abstract: A method for creating a form of a non-linear filter suitable for reducing a computational complexity is proposed. The filter is resolved into polyphase components in such a way that the polyphase components can be interchanged with a conversion of the sampling rate of a signal to be sent to the filter or of a signal to be emitted by the filter. Corresponding filters and filter arrangements are also proposed. In this way, a computational complexity for calculating the signal to be emitted by the filter can be significantly simplified. The invention can be used in echo compensation.
