Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the disadvantages of conventional technology, for example, by filling the requirement of monitoring which functional unit is implemented on an integrated processor. SOLUTION: The integrated processor has a processor core, more than one constituent unit which is operationally coupled with the processor core, a configuration register which has its configuration so constituted as to enable the constituent unit, and a tracking register which has its configuration so constituted as to maintain a copy of configuration data stored in the register.
