Abstract:
In a processing system having a touch screen display, a method of inferring navigational intent by a user in a gestural input system of the processing system is disclosed. A graphical user interface may receive current gestural input data for an application of the processing system from the touch screen display. The graphical user interface may generate an output action based at least in part on an analysis of one or more of the current gestural input data, past gestural input data for the application, and current and past context information of usage of the processing system. The graphical user interface may cause performance of the output action.
Abstract:
In one example embodiment, a mobile computing device displays at least part of an electronic form containing input objects to accept user input. A virtual keyboard module parses the form to discover attributes of the input objects and automatically determines whether the form includes a command button or other non-textual input object, based on results of the parsing. In response to discovering that the form includes a non-textual input object, the virtual keyboard module automatically adds a corresponding non-textual virtual keyboard component to a virtual keyboard, and the virtual keyboard module displays the virtual keyboard with the added non-textual virtual keyboard component on the display of the mobile device. The added non-textual virtual keyboard component may be configured to allow a user to invoke, from the virtual keyboard, a function associated with the corresponding non-textual input object in the form. Other embodiments are described and claimed.
Abstract:
Abstract:
Technologies for displaying supplemental interface tiles on a user interface of a computing device include determining supplemental information and/or available user interactions associated with a user interface tile displayed on the user interface. A supplemental interface tile is displayed in association with the user interface tile in response to a user selecting the user interface tile. The supplemental information and/or an interaction widget corresponding to the available user interactions may be displayed on the supplemental interface tile based on the selection gesture used by the user to select the user interface tile.
Abstract:
Technologies for displaying notifications on a mobile computing device includes determining a notification category for each notification, determining a priority level for each notification in each notification category, and determining a priority order of the notification categories. The notification categories are displayed as notification containers in which the associated notifications are displayed. Each notification may be displayed as separate tile having a location, size, color, and/or other visual property based on the relative priority level of the individual notification.
Abstract:
A computing device for combining one or more containers of one or more applications is provided that includes a processor, a memory, and a dashboard module configured to access a first application that includes a plurality of first containers, access a second application that includes a plurality of second containers, and generate a dashboard based, at least in part, on the first application and the second application. A container mapping module can also be provided and configured to map a particular one of the plurality of first containers to a first functionality, and map a particular one of the plurality of second containers to a second functionality. The dashboard can include the particular one of the plurality of first containers and the particular one of the plurality of second containers, where the dashboard is provided at an assigned display location of the computing device.
Abstract:
Embodiments of methods, systems, and storage medium for enhancing a user interface of an application with additional information are disclosed herein. In one instance, the method may include a computing device detecting an event associated with an application executing on the computing device, a container of a user interface of the application, or at least one object of the container; determining additional information to augment basic information associated with the at least one object of the container of the user interface of the application; and augmenting the basic information of the at least one object in a display of the container with the additional information or one or more indicators corresponding to the additional information. The additional information is associated with the object. Other embodiments may be described and/or claimed.
Abstract:
Embodiments of techniques and systems associated with device-to-device (D2D) resource sharing are described. In some embodiments, a D2D communication channel between a first device and a second device is established and a sharing request is received at the first device, from the second device, including a credential identifying the second device. Data representative of a first resource locally available to the first device, but not locally available to the second device, is provided to the second device by the first device. Use of the first resource may be controlled in accordance with an instruction transmitted to the first device from the second device. Other embodiments may be described and/or claimed.
