Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hybrid system and method for distributing a "streaming" media in a home. SOLUTION: A part of media items is received by a rendering device for a previous caching to a cashing from a control device. When the media items to be reproduced are selected by a user, the reproductions of the media items are started instantaneously from the cashing at a real time while the residual part of the selected media items is downloaded from the control device at a speed faster than the real time and added to the caching. Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable both of a first image and a second image to be viewed by displaying the first image and the second image by making either one thereof transparent when superimposing and displaying the first and second images. SOLUTION: The method includes: a means for generating a first video data signal, a means for generating a second video data signa; and a means for interleaving and rendering the pixels of the first and second images such that the second image based on the second video data signal is transparently visible on the first image based on the first video data signal on a display. Abstract:
Providing input signals to a computer system having a display, the computer system being coupled to a video camera or other video source, is accomplished by capturing video data signals generated by the video camera, the video data signals representing a scene, rendering the scene on the display such that the scene is reflected and transparently visible on the display, analyzing the video data signals to detect an object in the scene, and generating an input signal for the computer system in response to the detected object.
Abstract:
Providing input signals to a computer system having a display (116), the computer system being coupled to a video camera (501) or other video source, is accomplished by capturing video data signals generated by the video camera (501), the video data signals representing a scene, rendering the scene on the display such that the scene is reflected and transparently visible on the display (116), analyzing the video data signals to detect an object in the scene, and generating an input signal for the computer system in response to the detected object.
