Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an audio system which can recharge a battery provided to a face plate when the face plate is connected to a host or a base unit. SOLUTION: The audio system is provided with the base unit 12 including a voice input source, a speaker 14 which can supply voice output, the rechargeable battery 32, and the removable face plate 16 which is a device usable at the time of removal from the base unit 12. The face plate 16 is provided with a single connector which enables the face plate 16 to be connected to the host 58, which enables the face plate 16 to be connected to the base unit 12, and which makes the battery 32 rechargeable when the face plate 16 is connected to either the host 58 or the base unit 12. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable both of a first image and a second image to be viewed by displaying the first image and the second image by making either one thereof transparent when superimposing and displaying the first and second images. SOLUTION: The method includes: a means for generating a first video data signal, a means for generating a second video data signa; and a means for interleaving and rendering the pixels of the first and second images such that the second image based on the second video data signal is transparently visible on the first image based on the first video data signal on a display. Abstract:
Apparatus, systems, and/or methods to temporally and spatially bound personal information. A pseudo random number corresponding to time based on a random number time seed and generate a pseudo random number corresponding to location based on a random number location seed may be generated. In addition, the pseudo random number corresponding to time may be mixed with the pseudo random number corresponding to location to generate a combined pseudo random number corresponding to a specific user at a specific location at a specific time. The combined pseudo random number may be used to store and/or read personal information in an anonymous manner.
Abstract:
Providing input signals to a computer system having a display, the computer system being coupled to a video camera or other video source, is accomplished by capturing video data signals generated by the video camera, the video data signals representing a scene, rendering the scene on the display such that the scene is reflected and transparently visible on the display, analyzing the video data signals to detect an object in the scene, and generating an input signal for the computer system in response to the detected object.
Abstract:
Systems and methods may provide for obtaining a seed value from a location on a beacon device, using the seed value to initiate generation of a pseudo random number (PRN) tree having time-dependent branches, and sending a beacon signal based on the PRN tree and a timing schedule that corresponds to the time-dependent branches. Additionally, a PRN may be received, via an out-of-band link, at an observation device, wherein the PRN is associated with a particular time period. In one example, the PRN may be used by the observation device to generate a subset of a PRN number tree that corresponds to the particular time period. The observation device may also conduct a proximity determination of whether a detected beacon signal corresponds to one or more time-dependent branches of the subset of the PRN tree.
Abstract:
An audio system with a removable faceplate. The system may include a base unit including at least one source of audio input and at least one speaker operable to provide audio output. In addition the system may include a removable faceplate that is an active device, and a connector allowing connection between the removable faceplate to the base unit. The faceplate may include an internal power source to provide power to the faceplate when removed from the base unit, a memory for storing data representative of audio signals, and a connector allowing connection to an output device.
Abstract:
A method for managing digital graphical data includes defining a first pixel using a characteristic in a first set of sub-pixels. A second pixel adjacent to the first pixel is defined using the characteristic in a second set of sub-pixels.
