Abstract: A method for processing a received communication (80) which includes periodi c transmissions of a set of information segments. A first transmission of the set of information segments is received and processed to identify each of th e segments as valid or invalid (81). The valid segments (82) of the first set are then stored. Where all segments of the set are not stored (83), subseque nt transmissions (85) of the set of information segments are received and only those segments not previously stored are processed to identify each such segment as valid or invalid. The valid segments so identified (81) are then stored (82). Subsequent transmissions (85) are repeatedly received unless al l segments of the set have been stored.

Los segmentos válidos del primer grupo son luego almacenados. Cuando no todos los segmentos del grupo son almacenados, se reciben transmisiones siguientes del grupo de segmentos de información y se procesan solamente aquellos segmentos que no han sido previamente almacenados para identificar cada uno de dichos segmentos como válido o inválido. Los segmentos válidos identificados de esa forma son luego almacenados. Se reciben transmisiones siguientes en forma repetida a menos que todos los segmentos del grupo hayan sido almacenados.
