    Abstract: A METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR ACCESSING A CONTENTION-BASED UPLINK RANDOM ACCESS CHANNEL (RACH) IN A SINGLE CARRIER FREQUENCY DIVISION MULTIPLE ACCESS (SC-FDMA) SYSTEM ARE DISCLOSED.
