A method and a device for monitoring a state of a physical passenger transport system are described. The method includes monitoring the state of the passenger transport system using an actualized digital replica dataset (ADRD) which reproduces characterizing properties of components of the passenger transport system in an actual configuration in a machine-processable manner after assembly and installation thereof in a building. At least one detection device is arranged in the physical passenger transport system and detects changes in at least one characterizing property that occur due to wear. These changes are transmitted to the ADRD, wherein changes and change trends in the components are monitored and evaluated using calculations and/or using static and dynamic simulations.
Abstract:
A modernization method of an existing passenger transport system which is designed as an escalator or a moving walkway is disclosed. In the process, the modernization method can include generating a three-dimensional supporting framework model data set of the existing supporting framework, integrating the same into a digital double data set, producing the required components on the basis of the digital double data set, and installing said components into the existing framework.

Chain links and a conveyor chain that is highly resilient, in a tensile direction, for a moving walkway, an escalator or a lift. A chain link can include two chain link connector receiving regions arranged at opposing ends for receiving a chain link connector, which mechanically connects two neighboring chain links to one another in such a way that a tensile force can be transmitted therebetween. The chain link can also include a loop closed in a ring shape and surrounding the two chain link connector receiving regions. The loop can be formed with a fiber composite material. The fiber composite material is preferably in the form of a loop-like closed band, in which fibers, such as carbon fibers that can be subjected to high levels of tension, are embedded in an elastomer-matrix material.

The application relates to passenger transport systems and related methods. The passenger transport system has multiple step units, a comb plate, a monitoring device, and a marking device. The step units are to be moved one behind the other continuously along a predefined movement path during normal operation. The comb plate is arranged at a fixed position relative to the predefined movement path. The monitoring device is configured to monitor an actual position of a currently monitored step unit relative to the predefined movement path and to detect a deviation of the actual position from the predefined movement path by more than an allowable tolerance value and activate the marking device in response thereto. Upon being activated, the marking device is configured to mark the currently monitored step unit and/or a step unit spatially correlating to the currently monitored step unit.

The invention relates to a device (2) for driving a handrail (6) for an escalator (40) or for driving a handrail (6) for a moving walkway, the device comprising a drive belt (1) guided along a contact zone (10) and deflected on a deflection roller (7) after passing through the contact zone (10). The handrail (6) can be guided resting against the drive belt (1) along the entire contact zone (10) and can be driven by the drive belt (1) by means of friction between drive belt (1) and handrail (6). The device (2) comprises a deflection element (16), which deflection element (16) ensures that a lift-off point (18) of the handrail (6) from the drive belt (1) delimiting the contact zone (10) is arranged upstream of the deflection region of the drive belt (1) on the deflection roller (7). According to the invention, an escalator (40) or a moving walkway can be modernized with such a device (2).

The disclosure relates to monitoring a state of a physical passenger transport system. A method comprises monitoring the state of the passenger transport system using an updated digital-double dataset (UDDD) that reproduces in a machine-processable manner characterizing properties of components of the physical passenger transport system in an actual configuration after its assembly and installation. At least one detection device is arranged in the conveyor belt of the physical passenger transport system that detects accelerations and changes in position in all three axes during operation, which are transmitted to the virtual conveyor belt of the UDDD. Using dynamic simulations, forces, impulses and vibrations resulting from the dynamic behavior of the conveyor belt, which act on the virtual components of the virtual conveyor belt, corresponding to the physical components, and on the virtual components which interact with the virtual conveyor belt, can be determined and evaluated.

This application relates to a method and an apparatus for monitoring a state of a passenger transport system such as, for example, an escalator. The method includes monitoring the state of the passenger transport system using an updated digital double data record that reflects characterizing properties of components of the passenger transport system in an actual configuration of the passenger transport system in a machine-processable manner after the assembly and installation thereof in a building. The updated digital double data record can be obtained, for example, by accurately surveying the passenger transport system and using signal values from sensors housed in the passenger transport system, and allows conclusions as to the present or future state of the passenger transport system, based on which maintenance measures can be planned efficiently and adequately.
