Abstract: A stable, aqueous polymeric composition which forms a clear to translucent film upon application to a substrate includes, by weight, 5 - 75 % of (a) a water-soluble polymer having (b) in situ-formed, substantially water-insoluble resinous particles of said polymer substantially uniformly dispersed therein, and (c) 25 - 95 % of water.
