Abstract:
This invention relates to a biocidal composition resistant to the formation of a gel and to the method for stabilizing a concentrate containing, in addition to the biocide, a carbodiimide, a lipophilic/hydrophilic emulsifier mixture having a HLB of 6 to 20 and optionally an oil and/or an alkoxylated ester of a polyhydroxylated compound, by adding to the concentrate an effective anti-gelling amount of an anti-gelling agent selected from the group of an inorganic oxide, a epoxidized naturally occurring or synthetic vegetable oil and an epoxylated ester of a saturated or unsaturated C6 to C18 aliphatic acid optionally containing hydroxy substitution and mixtures of the foregoing anti-gelling agents.
Abstract:
What is described herein is an aqueous dispersion for coating water-soluble granules of a water soluble active agricultural chemical to substantially increase the rain fastness of the active. The dispersion includes by wt. (a) at least 0.1% of a polymeric anionic dispersing agent, (b) 5-30% of a water-insoluble, natural or synthetic inorganic or organic polymer, and (c) to 100% of water.
Abstract:
An aqueous dispersion of (a) 0.1-40% by wt. of a low molecular weight, low melting point, water-insoluble polymer in which the polymer particles have a size
Abstract:
A wood treatment concentrate includes, by weight; (a) 0.1-10% of an active wood treatment chemical, (b) 50-99% of a microemulsion concentrate including: (i) 0.03-80%, preferably 40-70%, of a castor oil ethoxylate or tristyryl phenol ethoxylate, (ii) 0-10%, preferably 0.005-6%, of an ethoxylated phosphoric acid ester as pH buffer, (iii) 0.002-40%, preferably 0.05-29%, of a N-C8-C18, alkyl pyrrolidone and (iv) 0-60%, preferably 0.15-40%, of a N-C1-C4 alkyl pyrrolidone, and (v) 0-30%, preferably 0.5-15%, of an ethylene oxide/propylene oxide block copolymer; and (c) 1-50% of a substituted phenol. The use formulation includes (d) water of dilution.
Abstract:
This invention relates to the stabilization of o/w microemulsions containing an active aza biocide by addition of an alkaline, water soluble buffering agent in an amount sufficient to adjust the pH to between 6 and 14 and to the use of said o/w microemulsions to control infestations and/or infections when topically applied to livestock or domestic animals.
Abstract:
An aqueous dispersion of (a) 0.1-40% by wt. of a low molecular weight, low melting point, water-insoluble polymer in which the polymer particles have a size
Abstract:
This invention relates to an improved aqueous suspension concentrate for water insoluble chemicals comprising a mixture of an anionic suspension agent and a homo- and/or a co-polymer of a heterocyclic vinyl lactam combined in a mole ratio of between about 0.1:1 and about 10:1.
Abstract:
Clear, high load water miscible emulsions of pyrethroid insecticides or triazole fungicides, as a single phase, translocatable composition which is free of xylene and alkylphenol ethoxylate surfactants and concentrate matrix for the active agricultural component at between about 5 and about 25 wt. % active concentration.
Abstract:
This invention relates to a biocidal composition resistant to the formation of a gel and to the method for stabilizing a concentrate containing, in addition to the biocide, a carbodiimide in monomeric or polymeric form or a mixture thereof and a lipophilic/hydrophilic emulsifier mixture having a HLB of at least 7 comprising an oil and an alkoxylated ester of a polyhydroxylated compound, by adding to the concentrate between about 0.5 and about 15 wt. % of a saturated, aliphatic compound having a molecular weight of less than 400, selected from the group consisting of a polyhydroxyated alkanol and/or a polyhydroxylated ketone.
