Abstract:
What is described herein is a neutral pH, VOC-free biocidal composition of 1,2-benzisothiazolin-3-one which is stable at low temperatures for an extended period of time. The compositions are particularly advantageous in use in protecting latex, paint, coating, cosmetic and personal care formulations against microbiological spoilage.
Abstract:
What is described herein is a stable microemulsion concentrate and composition for delivery of an active biocide/disinfectant in an aqueous medium providing sustained release of the active. The composition is effective against both bacteria and fungi.
Abstract:
Liquid compositions consisting essentially of by weight, 0.1-50% IPBC in 99.9-50% polyethylene glycol, polypropylene glycol or polypropylene glycol glyceryl ester, or mixtures thereof, which do not contribute to the VOC of paints and coatings and is stabilized effectively against discoloration even at elevated temperatures or direct sunlight.
Abstract:
This invention relates to a broad spectrum antimicrobial composition, effective against gram negative and gram positive bacteria and fungi, which comprises a synergistic composition comprising iodopropynyl butyl carbamate and a bicyclic hydroxymethyl oxazolidine containing less than 0.1% of free formaldehyde.
Abstract:
A stable, aqueous suspension concentrate which includes a solid polymeric dispersant comprising one or more anionic polymeric dispersing agents, optionally a co-dispersant which preferably is a homopolymer and/or a copolymer of a heterocyclic vinyl lactam, preferably in a wt. ratio of 0.1:1 to 1 :0.1 , a UV-labile, water-insoluble biocide active, and a UV-blocker or UV-absorber to stabilize said active upon storage and/or exposure to sunlight or UV radiation.
Abstract:
A synergistic biocidal composition comprising a mixture of 2-propenal polymer (APC) and 5-chloro-2-methyl-4-isothiazoline-3-one (CIT) and 2-methyl-4-isothiazoline-3-one (MIT).
