    Abstract: PURPOSE:To shorten the length of a gun for electrostatic airless spray painting as far as possible and to reduce the size by providing a paint introducing part on the side surface of a grounding handle in the rear part of a gun barrel part. CONSTITUTION:A paint introducing part 15 is provided on the side surface of a grounding handle part 3 in the rear part of a gun barrel part 2. Part of a paint pipe 13 is fixed to the root end of the part 3 by means of a binding plate 14. Thereafter the preceding end of the pipe 13 is extended toward the front of a trigger 7, is bypassed round the side of the part 2 from the bottom surface of the part 2 and is connected to the part 15 provided on the side surface of the part 3 in the rear part. Thus as compared to conventional electrostatic airless spray painting guns, the overall length of the gun is reduced while the function of the gun barrel as an insulator is maintained.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To perform stable electrostatic painting by permitting easy and sure setting of the electrode direction of a nozzle tip base in either of two vertical or longitudinal directions where an electrostatic effect is good. CONSTITUTION:In the state of mounting a tip base 18 fitted with a nozzle tip 17 for electrostatic painting to the preceding end surface in the barrel part 2 of an electrostatic airless spray painting gun 1, two recesses 20, 20' which are deviated in angle by 90 deg. with respect to the center of a nozzle are formed on the rear surface of the base 18, and a projecting part 21 projecting and formed on the preceding end surface of the part 2 is fitted at a suitable angle in said recesses 20, 20'. Since the nozzle port is positioned so as to be set either horizontally or vertically by the recesses 20, 20' on the rear surface of the base 18, the adjustment for the direction of the base 18 in the stage of spraying like in the prior art is eliminated and the nozzle port is determined precisely in the positions of the horizontal or vertical spray patterns. The electrode direction of the base 18 is easily set always in either of the two vertical or horizontal directions where an electrostatic effect is good.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To form stable electric fields with accelerated ionization and improved counter electrode efficiency by providing an electrostatic charging electrode and an electric field electrode in the opening part of a spray nozzle, and providing a counter electrode of a projecting shape in the position near the electric field electrode. CONSTITUTION:An electrostatic charging electrode 24 which receives the supplies of high voltage and discharges electrostatic charge, an electricity receiving electrode 26 which receives the discharge from the electrode 24 by crossing the paint films sprayed from a nozzle port 20, and a floating electrode 25 of an electric field electrode 27 which extends forward from the electrode 26 are provided at the preceding spraying part. Further, a projecting part 14a which concentrates electric fields is formed as a counter electrode in the position, such as a gun handle part 14 or the like as near the electrode 27 as possible. Sprayed paint is accelerated of ionization by the discharge from the electrode 24 to the electrode 25. The electrode 25 forms the stable electric fields between the projecting part 14a of the counter electrode and a substrate, thus providing a much stable electrostatic effect.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable efficient atomization under low energy, by causing liquid flow to collide to produce flat flow, increasing the area of contact of the flat flow with ambient compressed air which is mixed into the flat flow and by ejecting angular air to collide to facilitate the formation of a pattern. CONSTITUTION:An air gap 5 is provided at the tip of a paint nozzle 1 placed at the tip of a needle valve 3 located in the center of the body of a gun. Paint ejection ports 4 are provided in the tip of the paint nozzle 1 so that the ejection ports are separated at the same distance from the center of a sprayer and convergently opened forward at an ejection angle (a). An air ejection port 7 is provided around the paint ejection ports 4. At least one pair of angular air ejection ports are convergently oriented to cause collision in front of the intersection of the axes of the paint ejection ports. As a result, a paint is changed into atomized particles of flat cross section by compressed air from the air ejection port 7 and a spraying pattern of the fine particles is formed by angular ejection air.
