    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an efficient method for producing an optically active 2,6-dimethylphenylalanine derivative used as an intermediate of μ/δ-opioid receptor modulator medicine.SOLUTION: This optically active 2,6-dimethylphenylalanine derivative is produced by a method including a step of obtaining 3,5-dimethyl-4-halo-cyanobenzene by performing a halogenation and cyanization reaction to 3,5-dimethylaniline.
