Abstract: A method of forming a laminated article that includes a substrate and a resin layer. The method includes forming a coating on a substrate by applying an aqueous dispersion of a poly(hydroxyalkanoate) resin to the substrate. Subsequently, the resin layer is formed by fusing the poly(hydroxyalkanoate) resin by heating the coating. The coating can be heated using superheated steam to a surface temperature 10 to 100° C. above a melting point (Tm) of the poly(hydroxyalkanoate) resin.

Abstract: A laminate includes, in order, a substrate layer (A), a bonding layer (B), and a resin layer (D) containing a poly(3-hydroxyalkanoate) copolymer (C). A glass transition temperature of a total resin material contained in the bonding layer (B) is from 20 to below 90° C., the bonding layer (B) has a weight per square meter of 0.1 to less than 5.0 g/m2, and the resin layer (D) has a thickness of 5 to 100 μm.

Abstract: A method for producing a laminated body including a substrate layer and a resin layer formed on at least one side of the substrate layer, the resin layer containing a poly(3-hydroxybutyrate) resin and having a weight per unit area (dry weight) of 15 to 50 g/m2. The method includes the steps of applying an aqueous dispersion (HB-A) to a surface of the substrate layer to form a coat (a) of the aqueous dispersion (HB-A) and heating the coat (a) to form a coating layer (A) having a weight per unit area (dry weight) of 0.5 to 10 g/m2, wherein the aqueous dispersion (HB-A) contains a poly(3-hydroxybutyrate) resin (a1) and a dispersant (a2) including a water-soluble polymer, and the amount of the dispersant (a2) is from 0.1 to 2.0 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the poly(3-hydroxybutyrate) resin (a1); and applying an aqueous dispersion (HB-B) to a side having the coating layer (A) to form a coat (b) of the aqueous dispersion (HB-B) and heating the coat (b) to form a coating layer (B), wherein the aqueous dispersion (HB-B) contains a poly(3-hydroxybutyrate) resin (b1) and a dispersant (b2) including a water-soluble polymer, and the amount of the dispersant (b2) is from 0 to 0.5 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the poly(3-hydroxybutyrate) resin (b1).
